CO-founder and CEO
As a Co-Founder & CEO, Adarsh has created a niche for SunSource in the global solar market. A firm believer of sustainability, Adarsh is one of the respected faces in the solar energy sector in India and South East Asia. His background in solar engineering and research, and extensive implementation experience in solar power plants across the globe make him one of the leading lights of the international solar energy fraternity.

At SunSource, Adarsh leads business and project development, financial and capital-related efforts, and O&M initiatives, along with crafting the company’s long-term strategy. He works at creating key relationships, and building a worldwide team to put in place innovative business models and project development approaches to deploy solar technology effectively across geographies.

Adarsh has nearly two decades of renewable energy experience in engineering and commercial roles globally. He has worked with leading solar companies including the US based solar inverter manufacturer Solectria, wind and solar groups at GE, and Konarka Technologies. Starting his career working on solar projects and operations for SELCO, a globally acclaimed Indian solar company, he has also spent time at Booz & Co., Chicago as a management consultant. Adarsh’s last role prior to SunSource was at DTE Energy, a Fortune 500 energy company where he helped shaped solar business strategy and launched project development focused on utility scale solar projects with significant capital commitment.

In his spare time, Adarsh enjoys long distance running and reading on a wide variety of topics, and spending time with family. He is a lifetime member of the Solar Energy Society of India.

CO-founder and President
Kushagra is a solar veteran known for his command over solar technologies. As a Co-Founder and President of SunSource, Kushagra has guided the company’s strategy, project execution, technology and engineering efforts, with a primary focus on strong delivery of solar solutions and international market development. His focus on quality and business acumen have made SunSource a popular brand today in India, U.S.A and in the South East Asian solar market.

Kushagra has actively shaped SunSource’s offerings for domestic and international markets. He has pioneered efforts towards providing end-to-end engineering solutions, from initial scoping to actual project design, engineering, supervision and construction. He builds and drives the team, and has built its capability to handle a vast portfolio of solar projects. He is especially focused on driving the philosophy of minimising levelised cost of energy (LCOE) into the company’s DNA.

Kushagra brings a wealth of experience in leading teams that have developed, designed and installed multi-MW of solar PV projects globally. Prior to SunSource, he worked with global solar majors including SunPower and GE. As one of the core member of the SunDurance Energy team, he led the technical group and helped grow the team and its capability to develop and engineer-build projects ranging from 100s kW to multiple MW. He has also had roles at New Energy Options, Inc., AstroPower Inc. (currently GE Energy) and the Center for Sustainable Energy at the University of Massachusetts.

He is a lifetime member of the Solar Energy Society of India, and was a member of the interconnection group at the Mid-Atlantic Solar Energy Association to assist New Jersey’s Board of Public Utilities in helping define the state’s solar policy implementation. In his spare time, Kushagra likes spending time with family, and catching up with his wide, global network.

Anil Ahuja
Executive Director – Business Development
Anil has extensive experience in the power sector, which includes more than 15 years in the renewable energy sector with major multinational players like ReGen Powertech, Enercon, GE and Crompton Greaves.

He has executed more than 1000 MW of wind power projects, and after playing leadership roles for business development and project execution, Anil now leads the business development efforts at SunSource. He is also an expert on the regulatory framework in the power sector with a special focus in renewable energy. With a background of electrical engineering, Anil is passionate about technological innovations and is an ever-curious soul.

Anil possesses a Bachelor’s in Engineering from AMU, and in his spare time, likes cycling and spending time with friends and family.

Kaupind-Shah
US Business Operations
Kaupind is an entrepreneur with 17 years of experience in technology and the corporate world. His previous experience includes significant stints with Johnson & Johnson, JPM Chase and Duke Medicine. He has earned a Masters in Informatics Management from Duke University and Masters in Information System from Farleigh Dickinson University.

Deepak Khetarpal
COO, South-East Asia
Deepak is experienced in energy sectors of multiple Asian countries including India, Nepal, Bangladesh and the Philippines. He is currently focusing on South East Asia region and leading all aspects of solar PV project development cycle including policy and regulatory support, technical due diligence, financial analysis and structuring, project implementation or EPC and operation & maintenance. He has been overseeing development and conducting technical due diligence of utility scale solar projects in South East Asia along with implementation of rooftop PV projects in the region.

Deepak has also worked with consulting firms – Deloitte and PwC serving multilateral clients including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), British High Commission (BHC), International Finance Corporation (IFC) in achieving their goal of sustainable development.

Deepak is an engineer from Manipal University with an MBA in Power Management from Ministry of Power’s National Power Training Institute, India. Deepak also has a post graduate certificate course in Public Policy from University of York, UK. He is also the ‘Lead Author’ of solar chapter of World Energy Resources Publication 2016, launched in Istanbul at the World Energy Congress 2016.
