SunSource Energy plans to start work on 70 Megawatt solar power project in UP

New Delhi: Distributed solar power company SunSource Energy today announced it will start work on constructing a 70 Megawatt (Mw) solar power project in Uttar Pradesh at an estimated investment of around Rs 300 crore. The project was awarded under the open access project allocation in the state and its power will be sold through long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) to commercial and industrial customers. “This project is part of the 200 MW solar projects that the company has committed to developing in Uttar Pradesh with an estimated investment of Rs 900 crore.

SunSource Energy to install 2.5 MW solar plant at Jamia Millia University

April 24 () Solar project developer SunSource Energy today said it will set up a 2.5 MW solar rooftop at Jamia Millia Islamia University, which would help the institution save around Rs 1 crore in energy cost every year. SunSource Energy is all set to have the rooftop solar facility on the campus of Jamia Millia Islamia University by the end of June 2018, SunSource said in a statement

Jamia University to go fully solar from June-end

Jamia Millia Islamia will be only using solar energy on its campus from June-end. The university, on Tuesday, signed an MoU with the Solar Enegy Corporation of India (SECI) approved company, Sunsource Energy, that would execute the project on a turnkey-basis and maintain the plant for the next 25 years under Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model. Jamia would be supplied electricity at Rs 3.39 per unit for 25 years. The MoU is in line with the central government’s target of installation of 40 GWp grid connected solar
rooftops by 2022.

SunSource energy plans to build 200-mw solar park in UP

SunSource Energy, a solar EPC player in India, is boosting its portfolio with plans to develop a 200- MW solar park in Uttar Pradesh entailing an investment of Rs 900 crore. The company has also received funding from the State Bank of India-led Neev Fund, which a top executive said will help it reach its target of  1.5 gw project capacity by 2025. The Neev Fund is a joint initiative of the SBI and UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) to develop projects in states with low capital investment.
