SunSource Energy to develop 70 MW open access solar power project in UP

New Delhi: SunSource Energy, a Noida-based distributed solar energy company, announced it will develop a 70 Megawatt (MW) solar power project under open access scheme in Uttar Pradesh.


The power generated by this project will be sold through longterm Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) to commercial and industrial customers. "Once commissioned, it will be one of the largest open access solar power projects in Uttar Pradesh and will offset over 85,000 tons of carbon emissions every year," the company said in a statement. The project is expected to be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi along
with other projects at the mega ground breaking ceremony in Kanpur on 8 March.
