In Conversation with Kushagra Nandan, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, SunSource Energy

Kushagra Nandan, our Co-Founder, MD & CEO, in conversation with ET Energy World, shares his insights on India’s net zero target and the industry's role in this journey.

Steel
Currently, the Steel industry in India relies heavily on fossil fuels, which account for 85% of its energy consumption. This reliance contributes significantly to carbon emissions in the country. Thus, it is crucial for the industry to swiftly adopt cleaner energy sources. The Steel industry requires Round-the-clock operations for induction, furnaces, and heavy machinery. Among the available options, investing in open access solar power offers numerous advantages. Solar energy has the potential to meet a significant portion of the industry's electricity needs while reducing carbon emissions.
